Asus ZenBook Pro Duo UX581 review: two screens doesn't make it a ...

Price in India

Rs 207,999

Asus has given much better performance in the laptop department in the year 2019. The Taiwanese company has introduced very good and powerful models in different price segments. In this list, Asus's latest Zenbook  Pro Duo has also been introduced in the Indian market very recently. As the name suggests, this Duo laptop has a dual-screen feature which was recently shown in Computex 2019.

A year ago Asus introduced screenpad laptops, in which you were given a touch screen display instead of the laptop trackpad. This year, Asus has taken a further step in this direction, has also given 4k secondary screen to the laptop.

Not only a dual screen, this laptop uses powerful hardware like the latest processor up to 32GB of RAM. With which you also find the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU quite special, so to what extent can this laptop change a real-life performance? Has this secondary screen met all the criteria stated by the company? Let's have a look at the review of Zenbook Pro Duo:

Asus Zenbook Pro Duo 581 review: design and build quality

As with other Zenbook laptops, Asus has also introduced the device here with its same traditional design language and feature centric pattern. On the laptop, you get a premium grade aluminum body with unibody design. You realize the premium built quality of the device as soon as it touches the cover. Celestial Blue color variant has been introduced with a diamond-cut chamfered edge with mirror-finish.

Asus has made a bold move with its dual-screen Zenbook Pro Duo. The two 4K screens certainly exemplify out of the box thinking. Although in the past we have seen laptops with the second screen including Asus’ own Zenbook, this is the first instance when the secondary screen is not a gimmick and actually proved to be quite useful. We sincerely hope Asus continues to innovate with its ScreenPad Plus in future products.
On the downside, the extra screen required a bigger casing and the new Zenbook isn’t as portable. In performance terms, it is one of the most powerful portable productivity machines in India today.
